Note: All workshop participants should already have a basic salsa foundation. At a minimum, you will be expected to know the basic step, cross body lead, open break, right turn, and inside turn. Workshop schedule is subject to change. |

Joe Figueroa (Philadelphia, PA)
Called "one the world's best
leads" by Edie The Salsa Freak, Joe is currently one of the
most sought-after salsa instructors/choreographers in the
industry today. A professional dancer since his teens,
he has pushed the boundaries of the dance world with his
exciting and innovative style of salsa. |

Sean Wilson (Orlando, FL)
Originally from Jamaica, Sean
moved to the United States at age eleven and began taking
salsa classes in 2003. He learned quickly and by 2004
was performing with the Salsa Karibe Dance Team in Miami. He
has taught both salsa on 1, mambo on 2, and cha cha. Currently,
he teaches classes on 2 for Salsa Addiction
in Orlando. His patience, sense of humor, and ability to
relate to a wide range of people make him a superior
instructor. |

Lisa Perez
(Orlando, FL) Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Boston, Lisa studied and taught NY-style salsa on 2 with April Genovese and performed with Dave Morgan before moving to Miami in 2003, where she focused on teaching ladies' salsa styling. She later moved to Orlando, where she currently resides, and began performing with Universal Mambo Dance Academy, directed by former Eddie Torres dancer Eric Baez. In 2008, Lisa partnered with Sean Wilson, and they are currently teaching and performing NY-style Mambo on 2, salsa, and cha cha cha. |

Darren Stuart
(Gainesville, FL) Born and raised in Barbados, Darren is now the owner and director of Salsa Caliente Dance Studio in Gainesville (no relation to our studio). |

Ben Cartagena (Orlando, FL) Ben began his training in 1997 with the Panteras Hispanic Folkloric Dance Group, where he learned numerous forms of Hispanic dances, as well as modern styles. He became an instructor for Salsa Heat Dance Studio in Orlando in 2000 and was invited to join their professional company. Since then, he has performed and competed in numerous congresses and private events from coast to coast. His unique blend of Latin mixed with hip hop and capoeira has gotten him broadcasted in such productions as “Caliente” and the film “The Punisher.” |

teaching professionally for the last 5 years and has been
invited to teach and perform at many salsa congresses,
including New York, Washington DC, Orlando, and Miami, plus
the All-Star Salsa Cruise, Curacao Salsa Tour, and the South
Padre Summer Bash. |
